A former fishing village on the picturesque Caribbean Coast in the eastern part of the Yucatan Peninsula, it became a popular beach resort in Mexico at the end of the last century. On a hot day, it is pleasant to spend time in Xcaret Park, where it is interesting to swim with dolphins, walk through underground caves, see outlandish butterflies or dive with a mask and snorkel.

Among other beach resorts in Mexico, Playa is especially loved by young people. The reason is a huge amount of entertainment, without which young people cannot imagine their vacation. Dozens of sports bars, clubs, discos, and restaurants are open on Fifth Avenue, offering dance programs in the evenings. Transport in Playa del Carmen

Of course, the fastest and most convenient way to get to Mexico is by plane. Cancֳ÷n International Airport is just 45 minutes from Cozumel, which is located near Playa del Carmen. There is also a small airport in Playa del Carmen, but it is more intended for short domestic flights, for example, to get to the ancient ruins of Cozumel.
