Tulum travel guide
Tulum is a small town located near Playa del Carmen. Tulum is famous for its Mayan ruins. A beautiful beach with white sand stretches along the sea. You can live in Tulum itself, or you can just come there for a day from Playa. The road by public transport takes no more than an hour.
From Playa del Carmen, Tulum can be reached either by ADO buses or by small minibusses (collective).
Things to do in Tulum

Best time to visit Tulum
December to March is the best time to relax in Tulum. The air warms up to + 27-30 ֲ° C, and the sea – up to + 26-27 ֲ° C. In addition, there is almost no rain during this period. The summer months will be hotter – the temperature from June to September stably exceeds + 30 ֲ° C. It gets cooler in the autumn months, but only by 1-2 ֲ° C. So, if you are not afraid of the heat, you can say that the beach season here lasts all year round. Every February, El Camaleon Mayakoba Golf Club hosts the World Tour Mayakoba Golf Classic. At this time, beginners and professionals gather here.
In the spring, in April-May, Tulum gathers electronic music lovers on the beaches of the coast for a festival of the best performers in this genre.
During the summer months, the main event in the city is the Art with Me festival of culture and art. At this time, impressive installations made from natural materials can be seen on the beaches. Night discos and musical performances complete the spectacle.
Don’t miss the opportunity to visit the IK LAB art gallery (located near the Azulik hotel) at any time of the year. Way to get to Tulum
To get to Tulum, you will most likely want to fly to Cancun Airport, which is closest to the city. From there, you can take a bus to the central bus station in the city center (called the “”center””). Be sure to look at the bus reader board to see where it is going.
From the central bus station, you can take a bus south on Highway 307 to Playa del Carmen and finally from there by bus to Tulum. In general, the ride shouldn’t take more than an hour and will cost less than $ 10.
Airport
Tulum Airport is located in Mexico and serves the city of Tulum. Tulum has located 3 km from the city center. Tulum has no other airports.
Tulum Airport only accepts domestic flights. Passenger and baggage check-in for domestic flights usually starts 2 hours and ends 40 minutes before departure.

Attraction

In the autumn-winter period, there is always more precipitation. In principle, the weather is always good on the peninsula, but the best time to travel is from October to May. Hotel area
Tulum’s “”hotel zone””, located on a beach road parallel to the coast, is where the action takes place, and that’s a good thing. It is almost a separate place from the city of Tulum, and its atmosphere is completely different.
These days, the three-mile stretch is inhabited by lavish excavations, but hammocks under palapas can still be bought for $ 10 a day. Generators provide electricity for most of the day and sometimes during busy times. Friendly locals, yoga, wellness, and early evenings await you.
Tulum Restaurants
Cuisine in Tulum will satisfy any tastes of visiting vacationers, it is very diverse, but the preference is given to Mexican dishes. The organizers of the hotels thoughtfully approached the choice of food, but if you wish, you can always visit local restaurants. You can find food and cheaper – catering, it is located in the city. For just 100 pesos, you can eat a decent meal. Don Cafetos is the finest Mexican restaurant. For Thai food, head to Mezzanine, which sits on a 12-meter sheer cliff, while Italian dishes are prepared at Posada Margherita. Tourists who love desserts and ice cream do not pass by Panna e Cioccolato. Kebabs and dishes on fire will be prepared in your presence at El Asadero.
